Bees, please. and all manner of pollinators, from elephants to hummingbirds. Write away.

And thanks for your excellent work!

I was actually looking up bee venom to be honest. That came before I started looking at flower petals but I can look more closely into pollinators.

Interesting! I think the bees may be worth looking into! I'll pin the comment so I'll keep this comment in mind!

Thanks for covering this also ❤️🙏

I didn't cover much outside of what other people have already covered, but I thought it sort of interesting in the context that I may have caused serious problems to myself from masking and so it sort of seems like an obvious thing to consider in hindsight.

Wait...so all those smug virtue-signalers who said "Just wear the damn mask" were wrong? I'm shocked.

As someone who bought into the craziness the early months I sort of see part of their perspective, although the craziness in attacking people certainly helped me realize how crazy everything really was. At the end of day, there really was no good evidence to support masking and so the policies around something that lacked clear evidence was clearly unethical.

I noticed early on that masks were causing me significant breathing problems of some kind. I guess I must have been more sensitive to the effect described in your post than other people I know. I compensated at first by adjusting the mask so that it leaked, a lot, but that didn't entirely solve the problem. So I bought a silver-plated wire mesh mask that passes air freely in both directions. That solved it. Once again, no need for a study to understand what was going on.

The amazing thing is that even now, in medical offices (where masks are/were still required in California last time I was in one), nobody notices anything unusual about the mask, even though you can see through it. All they care is that you are wearing one.

I remember it happened when first wearing a cloth mask, and at first I thought it was because of the material. However, I found that it happened with surgical masks as well. I actually forgot that I stopped wearing a cloth mask early on but I believe I may have blamed it for my symptoms first even though it seemed to persist. Every now and them I get a weird feeling in my throat but it was much worse early on.

It is sort of crazy to think about the idea of wearing masks wrong or not and how people perceive it. That was one of the interesting things to witness and see the debate over enforcing policies that people are unsure of.

So, I'm already on team masks don't work, but also 100% team you do you, buddy. Should we say anything to the perpetual maskers? Many of them I fear don't read what we read. Just HOW do we address this sensitive issue, basically calling these always maskers (but those not politically motivated, but no access or ability to study data...we are like 40th in world education rankings...)??

I'm also for letting people do as they see fit at the end of the day. It still boils down to making an informed decision. If one sees the evidence and argues that they want to mask themselves but not force it on others then I think that's their choice.

With respect to people who may mask forever, it may be worth considering tackling it from the perspective of seeing how they feel when masking. Like I said, people I know started noticing that they had headaches or trouble breathing when wearing masks. If they have that awareness then you can probably approach them more readily with a review such as this one as it provides some causal relationship to their symptoms. You can tell them that their symptoms may be related to them not getting enough air and suffering signs of temporal hypoxia, and then refer to this review for some of the evidence.

One clear issue is that yelling at people doesn't quite work. Language is also important in messaging. It's one of the reasons I don't use the phrase gene therapy or clot shots, or anything similar since it easily just puts people off from what you're saying and can make them defensive.

My husband has long covid. The most serious current problem from February 2020 (his first bout of covid) is loss of taste and smell. We both had a more serious bout of covid in December 2020. I got my taste and smell back after 3 weeks. My husband is the same. He took 1 Moderna shot and immediately got sick again. My husband had severe fatigue and headaches for a year. I had fatigue but no headaches. We couldn't stand eggs for about a year and quit alcohol because it tasted terrible. I had 2 Pfizer shots without incident. We still get bouts of fatigue and my husband has headaches some. He is 83 and I am 73. Interestingly his daughter and ex wife had covid a year after us and they both continue withe loss of taste and smell and aversion to eggs. Thank you China and Dr. Fauchi.

When needed...

...I slapped on my cool thin stretchy American Flag neck mask

Doesn’t even restrict breathing, let alone viruses...

...but people seemed happy

Add another negative factor in mass masking. The average person touches their face 23 times per HOUR. *Given that fingertips are the 10 most common ways of disease transmission

*Given masks are uncomfortable & prompt frequent adjustments

......the likelihood of disease transmission of any kind is increased.

For surgical procedures, masks are worn primarily to prevent spital into the surgical site. Once a gloved or ungloved hand touches the mask, both are considered contaminated and must be replaces.

Did you try the one from the image and the caption? It seems to work for me. I didn't hyperlink in the actual text of the post since I generally hyperlink the title and it seemed hyper-redundant to have 3 links. Try that and see if it works.
