HCQ and IVM are pretty obvious since they require prescription and that allows them to target those drugs directly. I think NAC makes it a little tricky, and in my eyes finding out about this loophole makes me think that they are trying to find subtle ways of targeting supplements without outright saying they may. I don't know how many other supplements would be of concern, but it makes one wonder how often they evoked this law and definition of "drug" vs "dietary supplement".
You forgot Aspirin. Shortly after a study from Israel came out showing that people who used low-dose aspirin regularly had better outcomes when they caught Covid, the long-standing "guidelines" for it changed. I bet they're mad that they can't remove aspirin from the market.
A lot of aspirin talk got kind of swept under the rug, and it's kind of a shame. On one hand, I sort of get the argument that there were concerns about aspirin and NSAIDS, with the thought htat reducing inflammation may dampen the immune response. However, it's another example of them going overboard and enacting a policy that was never fully substantiated, and with later results eventually showing that it may have been beneficial.
Good point! The USPSTF changed their stance on it ONE WEEK after that Israeli study and then the FDA cited the USPSTF when they changed their stance back in April. Ugh!
"After decades of being widely available in most retail stores, why the sudden crackdown?"
Why? Because it's an effective treatment for covid. I wanna see how they are going to prohibit quercetin and zinc, also effective treatments for covid, and Black Seed Oil, another effective treatment. Can they prevent an oil from being sold? Can they prevent a plant extract from being sold? FDA = marketing arm for Pharma. They do not work for the American people, they work for Pharma.
The response was more tongue in cheek since I provided my own explanation. As I mentioned R!ICKYRANTS, I think it was a lot easier for them to target IVM and HCQ because they are prescription medications. For supplements it may be a bit tricky and so it could be them finding loopholes, hence this definition that was used to argue that NAC is actually classified as a drug rather than dietary supplement. For other supplements I think they would run into a lot of trouble for flat out banning them. Zinc would be really hard to hit due to being a mineral. I would find it a bit hard, and if it does come down to it actually happening I would really need to see what reasoning they would be using. It can't be safety since iron can have many problems yet it's still widely available.
yes, I figured the question was a rhetorical one. But I just couldn't help myself, I get so outraged at the criminals at the FDA. They are a fully captured "regulatory" agency functioning as a marketing arm for Pharma. It's so absurd and ludicrous, it would all be hilarious if they weren't responsible for the suffering and deaths of millions. They're making Hitler, Stalin, and Mao look like amateurs. We're witnessing the largest and most widespread criminal conspiracy mankind as ever seen.
Honestly, I ended up buying it because I was somewhat enamored by its banning. It's kind of like taking something away causing someone to just want it more. What I will use it for, I will not say. I have commented that I'm a lightweight when it comes to alcohol, but that's all I will say...
I’ve been taking NAC for about two years (daily) with many other supplements. I KNOW I’ve been helped by these supplements (I haven’t been sick for 15+ years) and I was discharged from the hospital yesterday after major surgery. The healing time for many ailments, I think, goes down dramatically. These are the ingredients that HEAL a body and are PREVENTATIVE care. My doctor was surprised that I was so “ahead of the curve” after surgery (I’m 59). I look at my body as a machine that must be “well oiled and have the right fuel” to heal.
That's interesting Renee. That's good that you are doing well. I'm starting to rethink my stance on herbal supplements, and I'm leaning more towards the belief that there are plenty of benefits with herbs and natural supplements that we've sort of obfuscated for modernity.
We don’t need half the crap given to us! We need good, healthy food and exercise! Most of what our bodies need is FREE and does not include the Big Pharma Cartel and all those getting paid off. And that’s for ALL ages!
That's certainly true. I'm always curious how many people who lament Big Pharma rely on Big Pharma. I think there are many who can't help it, but there are plenty others who can do things to help themselves. It's why I wrote my posts on sleep and exercise. Why rely on a ton of different supplements or drugs when we can do things that should be intrinsic to us already, and when that may falter a bit then we should consider other sources but knowing that a back to basics approach would be the best.
It's a good idea to stock up, regardless of the FDA's guidance. Most of our supplements and medications come from China, and our relationship is currently on very shaky ground.
Ironically all of Walmart's brands (the one shown above) are from China. Most medications are sourced from China because many of the starting reagents are cheaper and produced overseas. It may be something worth looking into, especially something as minor as Vitamin C and kind of tracing some of that.
Your substacks are always so wonderfully informative, this old retired scientist respects and appreciates the time, effort, energy, knowledge and caring for the rest of us that goes into each and everyone of these. Thank you from the bottom of my heart !
Thank you Dianne. That means a lot! I think it's important for people to understand that they shouldn't just take things, but understand what those things do, and why they may be beneficial to them.
in my opinion the NUMBER ONE reason for FDA criminal actions towards NAC specifically is the fact that NAC is also a very efficient antioxidant for the most exotic lethal material out there, graphene... This of course goes into the 'covid vaccine' conspiracy, which costed Dr. Andreas Noack his life... Just one reference for this part:
Attack on ivermectin.
Attack on hydroxychloroquine.
Attack on NAC.
Could they be any more obvious?

I had to purchase my Ivermectin and HCQ from India. I haven’t used it, but it’s nice to have just in case.

They want us to know. It's a game to them.
They’re evil bastards!
There have been systematic attacks on melatonin and Vitamin D of late, as well.

Lactoferrin & Benadryl will be next, then folic acid. They have been useful for coof, so they must go.
and Nattokinase and Famotidine/Pepcid.
“You will crush your own Cumin seeds and you will be happy.”

😉
Must I crush them with ethically sourced pink Himalayan salt?
🤣🤣😂
But you will own nothing, so you will have no cumin seeds to crush.
Will uncle Klaus allow me a small cumin patch to sow? 😅😅
No, he will not. Bill Gates will own all the land, thus all the places where a patch could be cultivated.
I’ve been taking NAC for several months now. Good stuff. 👍
I've taken for years. Can't imagine it being unavailable, as with melatonin. Just something else to stock up on.
It really does seem like they are trying to intentionally harm us. Profits over people. How do they sleep at night? I sure couldn’t.

I use the “fuel” analogy as well. Most people guzzle bunker crude. Some people drink 100 octane. 😃
Thanks for the notification.... I just ordered my 10 bottle good with expiration dates in 2025.
I’m right behind you!
I should remind people that this isn't medical advice and so this is more for informative purposes 😉

FDA/CDC are criminals who do everything what Rockefellers et al. (and that includes pharma cartels) are telling them to do...
How will the FDA rule on this matter?
Poorly.
