There are lies, damn lies, and statistics, as well as, apparently, estimates. Follow the science! But wait. Now ‘science’ is a lie, too. Just ask the vaxxed and the dead.

Estimates which seem to have a +/- range equivalent to the value the researchers put forward.

Not your article (sorry if that’s what it sounded like)!

I’m so sick of the never-ending propaganda to kill all off-patent meds. And wow, let’s show our TDS while we’re at it!

I appreciate your patience to show how ridiculous the “analysis” really is. Most won’t wade in, which I’m sure is what they’re counting on.

No worries- I kind of figured. I think people usually elaborate on their hatred of me if that's what they meant!

I won't say that my analysis is as deep as I would like it to be (I didn't elaborate more on the numbers), but I'm merely just trying to point out the issues with how the authors reached their estimates and how there isn't much scrutiny about the fact that the authors don't have any actual numbers.

Thanks for the article. Dad's girlfriend is on HCQ for Shrogens disease. She says that her Doctor claims none of their patients on HCQ died of Covid during the pandemic. However her close friend was sent home without early treatment, found by her son gasping for breath and died on the ventilator.

I'm sorry about the individual that passed. I have generally moved away from arguing whether HCQ or IVM are effective and mostly point out the absurdity of barring doctors from trying anything, especially early on during the pandemic when people were told to just go home and call 911 when they have difficulty breathing. IF anything, it's obvious that early treatment of anything may provide the best outcomes.

Tropical Africa where most people are on once-a-week chloroquine or hydroxychloroquine to prevent Malaria had damn little COVID!!!

Same with areas taking Ivermectin to prevent River Blindness!

I have been taking HCQ or Plaquenil for about seven years for Lupus. Was on it when the Covid farce came about. I was never tested or received any vaccines and I'm still kicking and just had my 79th birthday. I also took it during a trip to Brazil in '87. We were given the drug to act as a preventive because we were going into the Amazon. Didn't want sleeping sickness! Didn't get it!

This is utter drivel! Hundreds of millions of people have been taking chloroquine and hydroxychloroquine for decades to prevent and treat malaria, and I'm one of them! Totally made-up bullsh*t LIES!!!!!!!!

Too long, didn't read but I'll say this... My first covid infection I took ivermectin, along with my wife and we both cleared it the next day. 2nd time, around a year later, ivermectin helped but not as dramatically. 3rd time, both sick and poorly for over a week when I switched to hcq, and it cleared up in 2 days. My wife is triple jabbed and keeps getting covid again, and gave it to me, we both cleared it up with hqc again. Both drugs have a long established safety record. I took one Sinovac injection, very reluctantly, and 2 years later I still have heart issues from that crap.

The gist is that the authors seem to have erroneously come to their "17,000 excess deaths" estimate relying on variables taken from all over the place.

As to the timing of medications, from a mechanistic perspective it was argued that the onset of Omicron may have been better dealt with using HCQ as the main route of entry for Omicron appeared to be the endolysosomal pathway, and thus HCQ showing lysosomotropism may better deal with the virus.

I'm sorry about the heart issues you're dealing with. If I may ask are you based within the US? I don't know how many people have gotten Sinovac/Sinopharm here in the US and yet it's important to look at adverse events across all vaccines to look for similarities.

Nope, I'm in Malaysia. One of the reasons why I gave in and took Sinovac was to avoid the mRNA type, as there was talk of Malaysia switching to Pfizer only

RFK Jr. notes that studies showing HCQ lethality were deliberately designed to overdose patients at late stage disease (well past the optimal early treatment window following symptom onset).

Also one of the first “studies” showing “harm” from HCQ didn’t initially disclose the doses that were given…turns out they were using lethal amounts on the hospitalized patients. I wish I could remember which study…sorry.

17,000 compared to the claimed 17 million dead from the jabs.

Sounds like a miracle drug to me, despite their best efforts to demonise it.
