Thanks Paul! I can certainly understand. Hopefully many people view my posts not as newsletters but outlines for further research, so they don't get bogged down in one read but can return to it at some future date.
excerpt-"One thing that seems to be made clear about OTS is that there is a large mental health factor in OTS, as mental stress may also exacerbate the effects of OTS by causing chronic stress and continuous circulation of elevated Catecholamine levels, meaning that there may be far more than just physical exertion at play here."
Exactly... the fight or flight response is activated by the person.. meaning.. they assume the "beast mentality" to get their bodies going in order to get to muscle failure.
It just crossed my mind.. School is back in session and so is football. My son was on the football team for 5 years and right about now there is daily after school training. These training session are intense. This information needs to go out to the high school coaches ASAP...
I'm very interested in these articles because I have a son, who received the 2 Moderna shots and is considerably overweight. His doctors have recommended that he lose weight and of course the remedy is diet and exercise. Young men especially tend to think of exercise as a strenuous activity and will over do it. If indeed there is a correlation, these articles and information are urgent and of utmost importance to alot of people.
Also, I believe you would be a great teacher at the university level.
Thanks Susan, you know I originally wanted to become a professor. However, personal issues and given the current state of academia I wasn't sure if that would be a good fit now.
There is a time-dependent factor, and unfortunately there's so many things to consider but haven't been investigated so we're left in the dark for many things.
As to exercise and diet, I think the starting point is usually one in which people resort to crash, immediate changes and those sudden changes are really detrimental for long term sustainability as well as maintaining the benefits.
MORRISTOWN, NJ — A Warren Hills Regional High School student collapsed during an athletic practice Wednesday afternoon, and the student was flown to a hospital, according to the school superintendent, who spoke to lehighvalleylive.com.
According to officials, the ninth-grade student was flown to Morristown Medical Center by helicopter and is doing well.
Clymer praised the “professionalism of our staff and the first responders in managing this emergency situation” at the Washington Township school, according to lehighvalleylive.com.
School officials did not reveal the identity of the student or the medical condition that caused the collapse.
The district will “continue to provide full support to our staff, students, and the family,” Clymer told lehighvalleylive.com. “We wish our student a speedy recovery.”
What is Vaccinosis? Vaccinosis is the term applied to the state of energetic imbalance and mild to life-threatening illness occurring after an animal or person receives an administration of an immune system stimulating substance
I mentioned in one of your previous posts that I avoid strenuous exercise due to the connection between it and lowering the immune system.
Now that I read the section on the migration of NK cells after exercise- what come to mind is this-
Strenuous exercise probably activates the body's fight or flight response- which then puts the person in survival mode. In a fight or flight situation, there is likely to be injury, which would allow pathogens to enter the body. So I could assume that another part of the fight or flight response would be to increase circulating NK in the blood stream to the extremities so that they could be ready to respond to a injury. Ah the body works so beautiful!
I think the relationship between exercise and the immune system is one that really shows the interplay between many of our bodies biochemical processes.
The movement of innate cells are interesting because some have argued that this is a method for the body to reduce immunosenescence and do some maintenance on the immune system. It could be that there is an evolutionary phenomenon in which the body may prepare for external insults on the body. I was intended to write a post for paid members that looked at a study indicating that after damage the body may become sleepy as a response by the innate immune system suggesting that "it's when we sleep, we heal".

So true. I recently went to see a cardiologist for surgery clearance, and his general opinion that I was doing good, was because I "looked" so good from the last time he saw me in 2017. Needless to say, I was not happy with is simple assessment because anyone with good sense, much less a doctor knows that a slim person could also be unhealthy.
4 thumbs up! Lots to digest. Mahalo for the research.

I am going to elaborate more on this point in my last post so be on the lookout for that!

I just wrote a post about the athletes and I believe you are already reading it but hopefully that post puts some context to this case.
Haven't had a chance to read this through yet but wanted to give you a thumbs up anyway for doing this hard work.
Thanks Stephanie!

Oh yeah, my wife was told nine years ago: "You look great! there's nothing wrong with you!" by her primary care provider. She had kidney cancer.....
I hope all is well with you and yours.
Thanks. We took control, fired the doctor, and all is well nine years later
