Recent revelations from the Twitter Files and the Loudon County grand jury report highlight why many people are abandoning the left over gender and woke ideology.
I live in Fairfax County, next door to Loudoun, and we are no better if not worse. Fairfax has already proclaimed they will not follow the governor’s mandate that “transitions” of children start with the initiative and approval of the parents rather than the school. So if a kid wants to transition, the teachers and administrators will not only help him but also help him hide it from his parents. It’s unbelievable. We moved here from Los Angeles thinking the culture would be better but it’s not.
This sudden need to encourage transitioning is rather astounding. I'm amazed (in a horrifying way) how such notions have become commonplace. It's not something to be taken so lightly, and it relies on invasive medical procedures and hormones to which we don't know the long term ramifications of. The fact that these ideas are being touted as being scientific and necessary is alarming. It's another example of the takeover and control of children. To say that adults can't speak up about their own children is dangerous to society and will harm an entire generation.
Unfortunately, from what I can tell Virginia is similar to other states that have a condensed, overly progressive cohort surrounded by predominately conservative and rural regions. NOVA is the epitome of establishment Democrats and is indicative of how a select few can change statewide policy.
Apparently all gays also have to be pro-abortion...I saw a lesbian group lament they had been ghosted and cancelled because they were Lesbians who just believe in the sanctity of life...
Given that Gays Against Groomers has been removed from their printing company I tend to find all of this rather ironic. The statements comment that transphobia and homophobia from the group is why they are distancing themselves, although the group itself is comprised of gay and trans people.
It's this idea that people need to inherently align along all talking points rather than individuals being...individuals.
I also don't see how those two are being made to be intrinsically tied so it seems like such a ridiculous argument for people to make.
