"...like some post-modernist piece of 'art'"? I never thought of it that way, but yes. I have been giving low weight to conclusions based primarily upon excess mortality.

I worked with healthcare data in one phase of my career and "unfortunately, not all data is clean" would be an understatement there. It's been 10 years, but "no data is clean" would seem closer to what I remember.

Thank you!

All data come with limitations, and it's important that some people point out limitations in interpreting said data. This sometimes isn't the case and when people are free to interpret data as they see fit then it's likely that a lot of the data becomes subject to personal biases and misinterpretations.

It's apparent that many countries are having higher rates of excess mortality, but where that excess mortality comes from is the issue. The immediate answer of, "obviously it's the vaccines" falls into that category of infallibility- it just has to be true and no skepticism of how the data is collected or analyzed will show otherwise.

I would hope that people are more inclined for skepticism but sometimes in-group dynamics may override skepticism.

Really enjoyed this article. One question - went to your Ko-fi page - does it not take PayPal?

I believe ko-fi does take PayPal but I don't have a PayPal account linked at this moment so that may be the problem. I may consider having a PayPal if it allows more options for readers, so thanks for letting me know and I'll consider it!

Thank you for mentioning why you haven't tackled the excess deaths issue -- I wish we had reliable data. Dowd seems reliable especially considering where he's sourcing his info from but then I see the charts that show none.... I guess we're all doing our own observations among our familiies and friends. I do have a friend who works in retiring out pensioners.... she has seen a big uptick these past 2 yrs in death and cancer.
