Halloween topics?

This week I found that writing on a hallucinogen/deliriant garnered pretty much reaction, particularly over at Minds.com. :-D. Some very useful feedback came from those readers.

The history of curare usage in medicine is a pretty reliable way to creep people out.

Shrooms are very seasonal, and endlessly fascinating. 😎

Actually, someone mentioned looking into hallucinogenic mushrooms last year when I wrote about ergot. It may be something interesting to think about.

Curare may be interesting! One thing I was actually looking into months back was manchineel trees which have a rich history, and being native to the US may interest a lot of readers.

I think a lot of people are interested in shrooms due to their possible medicinal purposes, although if I can find a spooky underpinning for them it may be something worth looking at for this time.

Wow, that manchineel is nasty!!!!

There's such an impetus to leave big pharma behind, leading lots of regular people to turn to the psychedelic shrooms for treatment of depression. So shroom-world offers some potential bright spots to balance out the spookiness.

This is probably my favorite time of the year so I can't help but get excited. Unfortunately, it feels as if the pandemic may have just dampened a lot of people's spirits, or many people may just get wrapped up in everything going on to spend time stopping and enjoying the little things sometimes.

That's an interesting list! I'll consider it. I've recently noticed a lot of 1980s horror films appearing on Prime Video such as Killer Clowns from Outer Space and Sleepaway Camp which may I've considered watching. A lot of the new stuff don't appear to hit the same unfortunately.

That's nice! It's actually something really heartwarming to hear, especially with everyone seeming to be down in the dumps or just being excessively morose given everything going on! People keep asking why Halloween seems to be moving up earlier and earlier each year, and that's because Christmas seems to be moving earlier! Stores already have Christmas decorations up! 🤦‍♂️ It doesn't leave much room for spooky festivities unfortunately.

As to The Witch (or The VVitch as it seems to be titled) I watched it once and thought it was rather interesting, although the Old English (I think?) was really hard to make out which kind of took away from the movie a bit.

I've come across some YouTube videos, but sometimes I end up watching old Halloween-related TV shows. It seems a lot of networks are moving to livestreaming a lot of these shows in recent years which is actually nice.

Also, here's a random video on the history of Halloween that keeps popping up. I watched a bit of it, and can't speak of the veracity of it, but it seems interesting if anything. I meant to include it in this article but hit the "almost too large to email" limit.

Also, thanks for the link below! I believe I saw the horrible remake years ago, but I may try and watch the classic!

I think yesterday was more about the frequencies than the alerts. Payloads released? Cases rise soon? More masks, mandates, propaganda.? I guess time will tell. Halloween topic.. Internet of Things/ Bodies? Plenty of scientific papers out there.

I'm not really sure what you mean by frequencies. Are you referring to the frequencies of the signals? Irrespective of whether your phone goes off if anyone within the vicinity, or even city-wise of state-wise has their phone go off it means that there is a signal.

One of the biggest problems is that the people proposing all of these conspiracies haven't provided evidence as to what people should be looking for IF this conspiracy was true. Just some nebulous, spaghetti-at-the-wall comment that something bad will happen without anyone spending time explaining why it should. A "release" of something would argue that either the vaccines are contaminated with something, but that doesn't explain why no accidental "releases" have occurred after millions upon millions of doses. It seems far easier to not have to go through some signaling event. And that doesn't even take into account how the 5G would lead to the "release" anyways. It's just a lot of vague statements that got people riled up and paranoid without people understanding what they should be fearful of.

I'm not sure what you mean by the Halloween topic. Could you elaborate on that?
