smacking my head over tik tok ... my son warned me it should be considered entertainment only. They act like they've just discovered Labcorp and oh my, it's our largest lab!!! Part of a conspiracy just waiting to control us. Be scared, be upset, they're all in on it!!! sheesh.... I doubt Labcorp has ever done that specialized of a test on such a niche instrument - they would send it out or direct to cdc/state lab. The lab worker sounds like they were covering up their mistake in telling them they could do it in the first place. I agree with your digoxin mixup idea. Blackrock/Vanguard?? I'm not on tiktok or I would ask that gal to find me the big company that they do NOT own stock in. Sigh...I stay off social media so I don't despair for our future.
That video has over 1 million views, and what's strange is that it's created a huge storm of circumstantial conspiracies about what could be happening. What's weird is that if the woman's doctor signed her up for a test then he likely would have had some testing number.
In another video she called LabCorp to ask about if they did dioxin testing and supposedly the woman on the other line said that the Vice President released an email saying they don't do the testing. On one hand, people may see this as being suspicious. On another, it may be just be a company fed up with having many people on social media hammering them over this question. I think it's strange that it was removed nationally if that were not the case.
A million views!! ugh... spawning more nonsense among the non thinkers. She held up a prescription pad - I've never seen a draw order done that way. There' s a form to mark boxes on - and codes have to be included to justify the order and for billing. But I'm in a big city. If it's not a common request then there is room to write in what the doc wants. Normally the dr calls the lab to see if it can be done.... yes.. I see nothing suspicious in Labcorp announcing that they don't do that test. I don't believe they have ever done it. We would know by finding out if they had ever had the instrument to do so. It's such a rare request -- I don't see the business sense in having a machine worth hundreds of thousands sit idle for most of the time.
As someone with poor handwriting it really did just seem like scratch. It didn't seem appropriate to just put down the test name and the supposed number and leave it be (at least I would assume that would be insufficient). But of course, rather than ask something such as whether LabCorp actually ever did dioxin testing the direction was to assume that was the default testing procedure and go from there. I saw that they do some mass spec work, but I'd assume that such testing would probably be centralized to specific LabCorp and these tests appear to take over a week to get results rather than a one day turn around time so I'd assume that testing with those sensitive instruments are likely limited to specific regions.
