So it definitely seemed like this week got away from me and I was unable to post as often as I originally intended, so I apologize for the reduced release this week!
With that being said, I just wanted to wish you all a Merry Christmas!
It’s been a tough year for many of us, and for many there’s a lot of animosity and, dare I say, discontent with everything going on.
The holiday season can be very stressful for many, but it’s also a time of reflection.
It’s a time to see loved ones, reconcile the reconcilable, and come to an understanding that sometimes the little things are what truly matter.
I hope to release a few posts next week, although I’ve fallen behind on my reading so I will need to do some catching up!
But aside from that, I do wish you all have a wonderful Christmas, a happy final days of Hannukah, and a belated Winter Solstice!
I’ll leave this post with one Christmas song that I’ve grown to love over the years, and it’s of course the song from the title of this post.
There’s something a little somber, yet very uplifting and emotional (in a good way) about this song. Apparently, a music video was released last year where the song was used for an animation of a young Venezuelan man who left his family for America looking for a better life, and them spending time together during Christmas. There’s apparently some historical context to this situation, but nonetheless it’s a very emotional music video that many people can relate to in some regard.
So once again, have yourself a merry little Christmas, and I wish you all the best this weekend!
🎶🐬😎👍🍺💕 Thank you Modern Discontent, Christmas blessings to your loved ones and yourself, with love from all the Possums.
Merry Christmas to everyone!!!
